Learner Made Redundant Prior to EPA

Can anyone offer any help with this query please?

We have an apprentice who has passed their end date for learning and is due to undertake their EPA but has been made redundant.  No issues here in that the ESFA would cover funding BUT we have the issue that for this particular learner and their EPA, they need to be assessed within the work environment (I believe it's relating to coaching), but with no employment, this is not possible.

The learner is looking to try and find a new employer but what should we do?  Would a Break in Learning be appropriate?
