Oh, good question! I've usually thought of this as EEP on the basis that the slot timetabled could be for a bunch of different learning depending on what the learner needs to do each week, but if it's categorically linked to a specific qual then yes, would be qualification hours/learning hours.

Question for you all.....
I am aware of two differing practices..
Directed Study is set based on the specific qualifications / learning activity being undertaken. Students do have specific set tasks they have to return. It's all timetabled and within college hours. Study space and support is always provided. Resources / materials are all uploaded for them.
Are you recording that as Learning Hours - or are you recording it as EEP ?
