Sub-Contractor Declaration

Created

None

Afternoon all,

When providing this information you can only tick one box for the funding stream, therefore if you are providing for more than one do you have to do a declaration for each one, and if you don't know the full amount you will be paying (more or less learners through the year) what do you do then, is it an approx figure?

Thank you

PS Happy R14 final day :)

Yes you have to do one per funding stream even if with the same subcontractor, you can't combine income streams together into one figure.

This declaration is the expected for the year you will then update it normally in Feb/March where you can use the actual to date and predicted for the remainder of the year. Followed by a final update in July which is the actual amount received so it should become firmer as you go through the year.

Hope this helps

Just seen your response and wondered whether you could answer a question I have around the £500k cap for subcontracting for supporting providers.

The funding rules changed on the 1 Aug 2021.  The delivery/reporting year changed from April to March to funding year August to July.

(P201 Delivery subcontractors who have successfully applied to the supporting application route of the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers must not receive more than £500,000, or £100,000 if the delivery subcontractor is identified as new, of apprenticeship funding for their delivery from 1 August to 31 July each year)

My question is how would the ESFA expect the period April to July 2021 to be managed?

Many thanks

Jo
