So, in both cases these learners will (eventually) just disappear from the learner count for Hybrid End Year 22/23 because, certainly for the first one and probably for the second one, their AchDates will be after 31/7/23. So they won't count against you as such, they'll just not be part of the 22/23 count at all, they'll be in 23/24.
This is why I semi-jokingly tell people to have all their PEDS in Sept/Oct cos then you've got a year to sort it out...

I have a couple of QAR queries below.
If an apprentice has a PED on the 31st July and they have to be on programme for 1 year and 1 day does this mean that learner has a negative impact on the 22/23 QAR year when it is not possible to complete them in the 22/23 QAR year?
Also if an apprentice has a PED after the 1st May 23 and then a 3-month gateway period, meaning they are due to complete all of their programme in August 23 onwards, this will push them into the 23/24 QAR year but they will still have a negative impact on the 22/23 QAR year?
