I'm also new to this claiming the care leaver bursary, what you do need is a signed email or letter from a local authority appointed personal advisor confirming that the apprentice is a care leaver. On our ILR I have ticked that the learner is a care leaver but what I'm not sure is how you get the payment and what it will show as on the finance statements.
Can anyone help with this?
We have our first care leaver apprentice, they are 17 and in foster care so still in care as defined in P112.1, I assume we still need an email/letter from the local authority and a signed declaration from the learner to confirm they haven't already received the bursary for previous learning? What do you include in the declaration, is it possible I could pinch one to adapt? :)

Good afternoon,
We have our first learner that is a Care Leaver and we would like to apply for the CLB for her.
Can anyone confirm how to code/ apply for this on the ILR Entry tool and what paperwork we should keep for our audit records?
