can an A level student (if exams in May and result Aug) start an apprenticeship, if so when? Aug or Sept?

Theoretically July? It's not the same funding model and, by definition, they've finished all their exams by then, so can't see a problem? But, given the funding years tick over on 1 August, categorically wouldn't be a problem from then.
