Hi,

We have an apprentice who has withdrawn from their apprenticeship without providing their GCSE/L2 certs (despite numerous chases)

In this case, where do we stand in terms of funding that we have received for him? Should we be informing the ESFA and arranging payback of the funds?

What funds are you referring to? You should only have received funding up to the date of their withdrawal, which you'd be entitled to keep if they've been in receipt of training until then.

Hi Ben,

I was referring to what we had received up until they withdrew, wasn't sure if we would need to return them as we didnt manage to obtain L2 evidence.

Unless they were entry requirements (in which case they shouldn't have started in the first place) then you're definitely entitled to keep the funding you've received up to the point they withdrew. If they weren't entry requirements, you'd need to have received the evidence or had them complete equivalent qualifications by gateway, but that's it really
