Earlier apprenticeship completion

If as learner completes their apprenticeship before the end of their training plan estimated end dates - would we have to create a new training plan to reflect this new timeframe and within this update the OTJ as it would decrease (still ensuring the minimum OTJ hours are in place)?

We have a learner who was on a 18 month apprenticeship (we put this in place to ensure learners had plenty of time to complete). They are now moving into a new role but close to EPA, so we are keen to support them in being ready for EPA a few months earlier than planned.

Do we need to create a new training plan based on this new timeframe to include a new OTJ calculation? Or, do we simply add the new OTJ hours in the final ILR following gateway?

Not happened before so want to ensure we get this right.

Thank you

Hi Stacey, The training plan would need updating and you would need to have something built into the training plan or a separate declaration to meet the following rules:

Apprenticeship funding rules: Planned hours agreed at the beginning of the programme versus actual hours delivered - P54 - P55.4

Many Thanks
