So, Study Prog rules are pretty straightforward on this. For an hour to count it needs to be:
- timetabled
- supervised/organised by the provider
- within normal working hours
Homework doesn't count. Up to you where you think "independent study" fits on the continuum between the two, but it sounds like homework to me... *Supported* study on the other hand, that's fine because it ticks the second box in particular.

Can anyone advise if independent study, for the delivery of the Maths and English element, of an EFA funded Traineeship, is acceptable under study programme/EFA rules.
