No, they'd just have to remain on programme until they were ready to undertake EPA. If there's no learning left, they can't take a break from anything:
You must not record a break in learning unless the employer and apprentice have agreed this, the apprentice is intending to return to learning at a later point, and you have evidence supporting this.

Good afternoon all,
Is anyone able to advise the best way to record this please?
Learner has completed all learning except EPA. All OPP payments have been made other than EPA. Learner now wants a BIL before coming back to take EPA.
Do we still record as a BIL on ILR even though no funding is due other than EPA?
