Timmo for Strata you just need to run your ILR through the FIS tool and have it export into a Microsoft Access Database then you upload the access doc to the software selecting the academic year and return that the ILR relates to. I normally upload every ILR report I run so then I can see any changes to data live. Like Steve said other products are available but I couldn't give any info on these (I only have experience with Strata)

It's a difficult one with Multiply as the rules change between Local Authorities. The contract we have on Multiply a learner can do more than one course but it couldn't be the same learning aim reference and it has to show benefit to the learner, they had made a big deal about duplication of learners. We are only able to claim for learners who sit the GLH of our course that was agreed with the LA we wouldn't be able to claim any additional learning or be able to move someone as a complete with less than the GLH agreed. But depending on which local authority your contract is with it may have different rules.

Hi Darren, From my understanding, legally yes in both scenarios they could be put back on the apprenticeship wage as they’re under 19 and starting a new apprenticeship. However, ethically I think it’s more difficult in your first scenario. If they’ve already been with the employer for over a year and had a pay rise, dropping them back down doesn’t feel right and could have an effect on moral. The second scenario feels more reasonable, as it’s a new employer and a fresh start. Hope this helps Joe

I had thought it would make more sense to change the duration based on how you long we deliver but the wording in the rules was throwing me off a bit. Thanks for the clarification Ruth! Joe
