What I love is the fact that they send me two emails on Friday the first one stating that my query about not being able to access the site was being dealt with and the second one less than an hour later stating that my query was "Completed", even through I could still not log-on!!

Everytime they do an update we have problems! Do they not have a real IT Department, which "TESTS" updates before they make them live?

Good morning all, I belive that Paul has missed the last paragraph: For apprenticeship standards, the Learning planned end date must include both the training and end point assessment period for continuing learners. For new starts on or after August 2019, the planned end date must only include the learning related to the learning aim and not include the end point assessment period. It states clearly that the Planned End date for all new Starts on or after Aug 2019 ONLY includes the Learning, not EPA. Regards

Just spoken to the DAS support team, they say they are working on it as it is a know issue! It would be useful if they actually used this site to keep us informed.

Hi Claire, two areas here, No 1 ESFA Funding Rules: Financial contributions by an apprentice 145. The provider or the employer must not ask the apprentice to contribute financially to the eligible costs of training, on-programme or end-point assessment. This includes both where the individual has completed the apprenticeship successfully or has left the programme early. 145.1. Costs include any co-investment or additional training and assessment costs above the funding band, that the employer has paid directly to the provider, where this is part of the agreed apprenticeship. So if the Apprentice Leavers before the end of two years they cannot force them to pay back any money for the Apprenticeship. No 2 This type of clause may also be considered as a 'restraint of trade' So, I cannot see how the Employer would have a leg to stand on legally if they try and hold these Apprentices for two years after they complete!

Henry Wish; Can you please explain why the ApprenticeService/ESFA are always having these problems! Do you not test any changes before they go live? The fact that providers are locked out of your systems for three days is appalling. If it was a "Know" issue why did the Help Desk not know? I am still waiting to get back on.
