I work primarily on returns/funding/DAS for a HE Training Provider with c.1500 apprentices covering 15 standards I've been looking after the ILR and funding requirements from the very start of our apprenticeship journey, starting with low numbers back in 2015/16.

Hi Ben/Martin - I'm following this thread with interest as I've been raising exactly the same questions internally. You've proved that AED for the programme aim can't be before the AED for the component aim (degree). I can see what Martin is saying in his last post but wouldn't that mean the AED for the degree would be before the degree had actually finished as it would exclude the EPA module (presuming EPA module carries credits?) Can I ask how you breakdown your EPA costs too? Do you include the costs for your EPA module in TNP2 or in TNP1?

Hi All - where is there any mention that achievement date must be 7 days after the learning actual end date as I'm getting that error too. I can't find a reference to it anywhere? How does that work for integrated standards?

All the prior level values look ok - all are in the range 1-10 or 97,98,99

Thanks Scott - that's interesting, I'll follow that up though I don't have FIS, but I can check the values in that field.

It's a pity that ESFA can't point us in the direction of the problem, given their system has identified one. How are we supposed to find the error in 200,000 lines of xml?

Hi Scott - did you manage to resolve your issue with the xml not being well formed. I'm getting this in R02, although R01 was fine. I'm definitely using the 2021/2 xml template when creating the file and uploading it to the correct return portal on the website. I don't have access to the xml editor that Martin identified as I need IT to install it. I just wondered if you had resolved it and might be able to let me know what it was for you?

Thanks Martin - that was what I advised internally. However questions were asked so I was just looking for confirmation of exactly what you outline above. Many thanks.

Thanks Martin - We put both the minimum and the planned on the CS. Isn't the apprenticeship agreement an employer and apprentice document - should the employer take the figure from the CS?
