We've logged a ticket referencing the affected ULN's on the helpdesk and notified our account manager to flag internally if this hasn't been picked up already by the data team so worth doing that then the more tickets they get, the more of a priority they should make it. Thanks

Morning I queried with the helpdesk and I've had clarification from the "Specialist Team" that both remittance and payment for R08 will be 22/04/2026 (tomorrow). "Please know that payments relating to R08 should also be released on the 14th working day 22/04/2026 as well." I've just realised that they've used the term "released" which means payments are likely to arrive on the 16th working day and not the usual 14th working day. I am requesting further clarification on this. Chris

Sharon Ward It depends on what you are referring to as your apprenticeship sign-up date. If the apprenticeship agreement has an apprenticeship start date that pre-dates the practical period start date, then the apprentice rate applies from the apprenticeship start date and not the practical period start date. Otherwise, if they are not employed under an apprentice agreement as an apprentice until October then yes they would need to be paid the applicable NMW for their age until the October date.

Yes we have actual end dates with 30/12/9999 but they are all assigned a hybrid end year of XXXX.5 which means they are not assigned a defined QAR year yet (as they are still on programme) - I suspect the actual end date field cannot be blank hence this is just the way the dataset is structured, so this is unlikely to be the cause.

Done a live chat with the Apprenticeship Service team, here was their response: "Yes unfortunately it is a known issue currently and is being looked into. For now the workaround is to add the learner manually. If the DLock does not resolve itself in the next funding period please get back in touch and we can assist. I am unable to answer this, if you still have issues like this when manual add is removed then please get in touch and we can escalate."

We have the same Chris this morning. 3 learners who have completed previous apprenticeships with us, now on new programmes that are not pulling through on the add from ILR option. And as you say, ILR data mismatch on the completed records. We've added the new records manually but obviously we're about to lose this option soon! Maybe a known issue and hope the dept. is aware and fixing but I might log a ticket with the helpdesk anyway. Will update if I hear anything.

Thanks Steve and Ruth. This is what internally we had discussed and come to the conclusion on anyway so our relevant programmes will be the full duration - suppose the immediate change for this funding wise is that for those standards under the assessment reform there won't be that "gap" in funding anymore between gateway and completion with monthly on-programme payments just being slightly less. QAR's will align to achievements a little better too especially for those that might come in a little earlier but their PED was in the following funding year.

Thanks Donna. Received ourselves too. I've gone back to the helpdesk to ask if this is a permanent change to the 16th working day as opposed to the 14th. I've noticed the remittance now has the DWP logo rather than the DfE so maybe this payment delay is temporary due to departmental changes behind the scenes and things will return to normal from next month. Fingers crossed.
