Hi Ben, We had the same thought however with our legal services team we created a one page agreement relating to payment of additional charges that would not be levy funded. That way the relevant directorate/faculty of the apprentice agree to make payment to the faculty delivering the apprenticeship where required. BW Sarah

Hi Ben and Abbie, I understood that any only additional learning could be included in the training price: P104.2.2 Additional learning required to re-sit an exam linked to either a mandatory qualification or an end-point assessment.

By re-start do you mean re-start their learning rather than employer which are two very different things. The funding rules describe the 30 days as a gap in employment not a gap in OTJ

What if new employment started within 30 days but the learning activity with the new employer didn't start for a further week for example?

The current funding rules (V2 2021/22) state the following: P180 You must only use delivery subcontractors that satisfy one of the following two criteria: P180.1 they are on the published Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers and have applied by the main or supporting application routes; or P180.2 they are either the apprentice’s employer, a connected company or charity as defined by HMRC and are on the published Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers, having applied through the employer-provider application route. Hi Sophie, No I haven't but I think it is relatively safe (in line with the funding rules etc) that provided the apprentice is employed for the duration of the apprenticeship until EPA completion there can be a change of employer after gateway. However it is very admin heavy at such a late stage in the apprenticeship and new agreements and contracts will need to be issued as well as significant changes to DAS and the ILR. At this point only 80% of funding will have been drawn down so it may be tricky, depending on the standard and any qualifications attached to get the new employer to fund the remaining 20% and sign the necessary paperwork. Best wishes Sarah

Hi Inna, Remember TNP2 is also split into 80% during practical period (on-programme training) and 20% (upon completion). So depending on when TNP2 was entered and funding received this won't be the full EPA cost. Best wishes Sarah

Hi Chris, I submitted our declaration for the period of 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2021 in August 2020. However there have since been changes and I thought there would be time to submit an amended declaration before the end of the current financial year. As they have now changed the statement period to 1 August 2020 to 31 July 2021 (then as you say it now reads 27 January 2021 to 31 July 2021) what happens if changes are required for the previous period? None of this makes sense. Sarah
