Thanks Martin.  My main query is if a learner is withdrawn close to or at Gateway but then is in a position to complete their apprenticeship in, say, 6 months' time, would they be classed as a new start so have to meet the minimum duration/OTJ rules?

Thank you Martin I'm assuming therefore that this rule is purely to confirm that an apprentice can have a second job, the apprenticeship doesn't have to be their sole employment? What would the situation be if a potential apprentice had two part-time roles with the same employer, and was carrying out Standard-related activity in both roles.  Could the hours be collated for the purposes of OTJ/minimum duration, or must we only use one role for the purposes of the apprenticeship?
