Hi, You should use Learning Delivery Funding and Monitoring Code: EEF 2 to indicate the entitlement to 16-18 apprenticeship funding, where the learner is 19 or over. HTH

Hi, That is out of date guidance (2019) the current guidance is: Data lock 02 The training provider and employer used a different unique learner number (ULN). Check that the employer has added the apprentice to their apprenticeship service account and that the training provider has approved the apprentice. If this does not fix the data lock, check that the training provider has entered the right ULN for that apprentice from the learner records service. HTH

Hi Jessicar, For Apprentices on FM 36 you use the ‘Funding adjustment for prior learning’ as it does not subtract payments prior to the BIL. HTH

Hi Catarina, That is what most provider do in practice, but it is not inline with the funding rules requirement: P215.2 You must enter the negotiated prices for training and end-point assessment onto the ILR. Where you and the employer do not know the details of the end-point assessment organisation at the start of the apprenticeship, you must enter the price for end-point assessment once this has been confirmed. This field in the ILR must be left blank until the price of the end-point assessment has been confirmed. The reason the duplication of TNP 1 does not cause an error is that each takes affect from the date that applies. HTH

As this Standard last date for new starts was 27/7/2019 and has an expected duration of 2 years then the standard is still current and should not error as a return from a BIL is a restart. For the FS the advice in the guidance is that these should be started at the beginning of the programme but so you could still record them as unfunded but do not associate the aims as component aims of the standard or they would also error. HTH

The guidance from the Provider support manual is: If the apprentice was on a learning aim prior to their break that is no longer valid when they return (for example, the certification date has passed), then you cannot class this as a break in learning. This limits the length of time that a learner can have as a break in learning.

Hi Alison, Levy paying employers do not have a limit on co-investment where it is required as they already contribute 0.5% of their wage bill in Levy contributions, none levy paying employers currently have a 10 funded apprenticeship limit but the ESFA keep this limit under review as a method for controlling the budget for none levy paying employers.
