This is the response I received from the helpdesk. Thank you for your enquiry. A T Level student can repeat their second year of study; however, normally we will not fund them in their repeated second year because T Level funding is only available for two years: we will pay half the funding in the first year and half in the second. We will only fund students for a further year when they meet the criteria for a funded retake set out in the funding regulations (Advice: funding regulations for post-16 provision 2024 to 2025 - paragraph 89). If the students do not meet the criteria for additional funding for a further year, they should be recorded in the ILR with the original Expected End Date (in the 2023/24 academic year) and without an Actual End Date. If the students do meet the criteria for additional funding for a further year, you would start a new T level programme for them, ensuring that you record them in the ILR with the national learning and monitoring (NLM) code 22, to indicate “Learner repeating up to one full year of 16-19 funded provision: https://guidance.submit-learner-data.service.gov.uk/24-25/ilr/entity/LearnerFAM/field/LearnFAMType/attribute/NLM You would also need to record all the T Level components properly (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/t-level-funding/record-your-t-level-data-correctly), in exactly the same way for any other T Level programme. Lastly, you would also have to make sure that the hours reflect the single year of study rather than the full programme. If the student is only re-sitting some elements of their programme in 2024/25, and there is no learning activity (such as retaking classes, or doing supervised revision), we do not require you to record any learning aims for this student.  However, If the student will be doing any learning activity, there should be a learning aim record to show this. You should not include any hours for the activity in the planned hours, though. As per the guidance (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/advice-funding-regulations-for-post-16-provision, paragraph 88 onwards), institutions must not include any planned hours in funding data returns for students who are only retaking examinations.

Yep I took it to mean enter the overall grade against the ZPROG. The OS then has it's own grade.

I pressed further and this is the response. P341 The evidence pack must include: P341.1 Evidence of progress reviews taking place in accordance with paragraphs P59 to P60 and the agreed outcome or actions of these reviews, including progress towards the training plan, signed by all three parties (apprentice, employer, provider)"   There is always the risk that funding could be affected if at audit it was found that the rules are not being followed.   There doesn't have to be a physical signed signature and other forms are acceptable please see the relevant excerpt form the Provider Funding Rules below.   "P357 We accept electronic evidence, including electronic / digital signatures. Where evidence is electronic, you must have wider systems and processes in place to assure you that apprentices exist and are eligible for funds."   You will still need an digital/electronic signature in place for the progress review. The best way to do this could be via email when you send round actions for the next review and each person could sign this electronically via email as this will demonstrate what was discussed in progress review and what needs to be done before next one.   It will be best to make sure that you have some sort of signature in place for these progress reviews, if any have been missed you could try and retrospectively get these signed by the employer.

Thanks Steve. Glad to know that I did read the rules correctly. I will let you know when I have a response from the auditor as we do have some not signed.
