Thank you Sarah that's what I thought. Typical, for me the one part of the whole process that I would actually like a formal timescale on is this as I don't want any learners to be forgotten about as they are technically leavers. How are you all tracking or reporting on this?

Ruth Canham-James I agree, the rules are funding rules and no longer guidance so are by no means perfect and need to be more specific if they want to be called rules. What is more frustrating is when you are emailing back and forth all day with the Service Desk pointing out each paragraph they posted to you, the conflict and contradiction in each just asking what the ruling is. Clearly they at the end they didn't want to answer and ask me to contact the Apprenticeship Service for clarification. God help everyone at audit is all I can say

Perfect Thank you Martin x Although I love how they use the word Can and not Must = very ambiguous The overall duration of the apprenticeship and the required volume of off-the-job training can remain the same (as though there had been no break in learning).

Sorry, I'm having a bit or an argument with the Service Desk who are telling me you can not extend the PED even by the time they expended on their BIL and must use the original PED. And have now asked me to contact the apprenticeship service instead! Can someone give me some guidance to where in the rules it actually says you can do this

Hi Guys, This is what I've always done except if on return their circumstances are different. However, have moved to a new employer and had a conversation with a member of our team who is telling me, that you can extend the PED to beyond the number of days they have taken during their BIL because they would need to complete the modules within the course they missed due to BIL in the next available cohort of Learners in the next academic year and therefore if we were just to add the number of days on their BIL to the original PED then they wouldn't be able to complete their apprenticeship timely. (I think that's what they said). Could someone please advise and point me to where it says this in the funding rules or anywhere else for that matter and does it give proper details and clarification so can't be interpreted to whatever you want. Thanks in advance

OTJH's - I know it's all changing in August but..... for legacy learners and auditing, could someone please help me out here Does anyone have an excel spreadsheet calculator that gives you the OTJHs where you can plot in the the Start and PED = number of weeks on programmes. (or if not that I can work that out easily enough) But with everything else in you need ie Hours per week, Statutory leave based up number of weeks on programme not (per annum) Having moved employer, I've not taken mine with me. I'm trying to create it again but like last time what seemed so easy is proving to be more difficult and is taken a huge amount of time. I can't seem to get my head around the weeks and the stat leave week per annum. Our programmes are typically NOT 12 months and vary depending on their prior attainment etc I've looked at the Commitment Statement template but unless I'm reading it wrong it's only asking for the annual leaving entitlement (5.6). What do you put into this box if they are doing more that 12 months or am I reading this wrong and their calculator is correct. My brain has literally gone to much and going around and around in circles. It's like trying to catch that piece of thread, just when you think you've caught it, it moves out of your grasp I hope I've explained this correctly. Sorry to be a pain guys, But would love to crack this by the end of this week. Thanks in anticipation x

Again, possibly another stupid question, but I've just started a new job with a new employer and they are completing the ILR Employment Status fields differently, and yet neither and/or have been picked up as warnings/error, so would like a bit of advice. Employment Status Prior to Enrolment. If this is completed and there are no changes to this status, does the "Status on Day One and/or Updated Status" need to be completed? Cheers Jaci
