Chris Cooper did you ever resolve this? We recently asked the helpdesk if we could ask for apprentices to pay for an enhanced DBS in the same way they can for travel and subsistence and were told that the employer had to pay as it was a normal cost of employment. This doesn't obviously help with the placement problem so wondered whether you came up with a solution. Thanks Ceri
