Thanks Alice, It is good to know that we don't have to put an RPL. We would have put the RPL in at the start when the agreement was agreed with the original employer. However when the employer changes we'll put it as non as the original record shows the RPL and as the CoE has taken place within 30 days, we wouldn't want to record any extra RPL or duplicate what has already been put in on the original record.

Hi Steve, Unfortunately there is nothing the provider can do and nothing the DAS will do regarding them. We have a handful of these as well for years in the past. At this point, the employer has control of them and only they can approve, reject or delete. If they reject, you can then delete it, but unless the employer goes in and sends it back there is nothing you can do. It would be great if the DAS could implement something where we can request a reservation back and after a few weeks it'll come back.

Hi Jo, In the end the employer had to create a new DAS account under the new company name. They removed their PAYE details from the previous account and added them to the new account, stopped the apprentice's record and then we processed it as a change of employer and added the record to their new account (by doing the change of employer option on the DAS). We drew up new paperwork because of the changes and kept a note of what happened with the new paperwork so their was a trail for the changes. Hope this helps

Hi Stephen, I had an employer who granted us permissions about 3 hours ago and we didn't receive an email to say permissions were granted.

Thanks Steve, Could you break that down a bit more for me? The stop date is May (01/05/2023). So we will get all the remaining funding in one bulk once we've submitted the achieved date in the ILR, despite the employer stopping the record?

Thanks all for your replies and feedback. Could we say that the employer isn't fulfilling their agreement to keep the DAS updated to the correct standard as requested when they signed up/signed the paperwork for the apprenticeship? As they don't approve we don't get the funding for the apprenticeship for the initial months until they approve, so if they don't approve it going forward the course is essentially not being funded? And going forward, unless the the approval is completed then we cannot ensure funding for their apprenticeship and their apprentice. We do provide options such as a guide, bullet points and do offer to assist over the phone whilst they complete it, not sure what more we can do in terms of assisting them.
