Employer No Longer Trading

Hi,

I'm sure other providers will have had the same scenario, but we have a situation whereby there is co-investment outstanding in relation to an apprentice's previous employer, but they are no longer trading.  We aren't going to be able to collect it, so what will we need to do so we still receive the completion payment?

Thanks

There isn't an agreed mechanism, you'll have to ask ESFA. They might allow you to record a fake PMR, or they might say it's just tough, or they may give you another way to claim it (EAS?). On programme payments won't be an issue. We've had almost every scenario I ever heard about, but not this one!

Contact the ESFA, for a company who went into liquidation they gave us permission to record the payment as if we received it, and to put in the apprenticeship evidence file the communication between ourselves and the ESFA, and proof that the company went into liquidation.
