Well, here's interesting...
There's no such rule in the last version of the Rule Validation spreadsheet (V5 from January), that only goes up to LearnAimRef_113, so looks like they've just applied a rule a little hastily. Good thing it's not the end of the month!
Wouldn't worry about it this week, looks like a glitch at their end to me.
Hi all,
The validation rule LearnAimRef_117 has been switched to a warning while a defect is corrected, please resubmit your data which will change the errors to warnings in your data, the ILR team are also publishing version 6 of the validation rule specification this afternoon and the ESFA known issues log is being updated.

LearnAimRef_117 Error
Created
Hi, I have run an ILR file through this morning only to find some LearnAimRef_117 errors have appeared that had never been there before. It states 'The Learning aim reference is not valid in the LARS database for this Funding model for this teaching year'. This relates to functional skills aims that were either achieved or withdrawn in the 20/21 academic year, where the apprenticeship ZPROG appears in 22/23 (a lot of our apprenticeships run for 3 years). Is this an ESFA issue with why it has suddenly appeared? I'm not sure what to do with them as the reporting of the achievements or withdrawals is correct. Thank you.
