T Level Specialism Transfers in 1st Year Causing FRM50 Errors

Created

We have one student who transferred in their 1st year T Level from L3 Early Years Educator to L3 Assisting Teaching. All this was done before R14 as per the rules.

Now getting FRM50 errors because of the 653 days rule. It is looking at the start date of 25/05/22 on the assisting teaching aim.

Do we need to roll over the transferred ZPROG and specialism aims as well into 22/23? Or can I just note that it was a transfer.

It has passed all validation in FIS & Hub.

Any advice gratefully received.

I don't think rolling the old programme over will make a difference, I guess it's just calculated in isolation. We have a couple of FRM50 rows. They just started a little late because they were originally on a regular programme, then transferred to a T Level 4 weeks in. I've just noted it.

My concern with FRM reports over PDSATs, is that they like to email our principals about some of them (which ones, who knows). That was ok when the FRM reports were all fundamental errors. Why wasn't this report a PDSAT, where it's normal for reports to just be things to check, and not necessarily errors? It's frustrating when the principal starts asking why we've got "errors", and we have to explain that they're not actually errors.

Thank you, glad it is not just us.
