Have they got the same end month as well? One doesn't sneak over into another month at the end do they?
Other option is the employer has run out of Levy, at which point you do get slightly weird amounts on one learner because of the way that calculation works. Check your Apps Co-investment report in the Period End reports to see if they pop up there.
It could be so many things. Like Ben said, there could be co-investment required. Even if it's the same employer, one could be fully levy funded, and the other is the one that tipped it over the levy pot (there is a logic about which apprentice gets picked to use the levy first, it can remain that way until another apprentice completes and it means the next apprentice in line then becomes fully levy funded).
Did they start this apprenticeship elsewhere and another provider claimed some funds? You'd see the amount capped in the reports. That could happen even if you've assessed that they have no RPL.
Is their Planned End Date exactly on the last day of a month? A student enrolled for exactly 370 days from 04/01/2023 to 09/01/2024 will be split into 12 monthly payments. Another student also enrolled for exactly 370 days but from 26/01/2023 to 31/01/2024, will be split into 13 monthly payments.

Monthly payment amounts variation

Hello,
A query re the Apps Monthly Payment report:
We have two apprentices who started the same apprenticeship standard in the same month; however, the levy payments received are different for the two apprentices (and different to all the other apprentices on that standard). No funding adjustments have been applied for RPL, no programme extensions have been applied for PT hours, and neither apprentice has had a BIL – what could the reason be as to why the payments received are different?
Thanks in advance.
