Good afternoon all,
Your in-year 2022 to 2023 QARs can now be accessed through View your education data, providing:
- a QAR dashboard that uses your ILR data from the R10 return to show your rates
- a QAR data download to show your learner level information
As part of this release, we confirm the QAR calculations at learner level will match on the Unique Learner Number (ULN) and where we are unable to do so we will match on Learner Reference Number (LRN). The technical specifications and supporting documents will be updated shortly.

Good Morning All
I have a small query regarding the QAR data as of R10..... the technical guide says the following:
The overall QAR, pass rate and retention rate calculations use the hybrid end year
of the learning aim. The hybrid end year is the later of the:
a) achievement year (for apprenticeship standards on funding model 36 only)
b) planned end year of the learning aim
c) actual end year of the learning aim
d) reporting year
I'm just curious then as to why 2 of my leavers, with hybrid end dates R11 & R12 2022/23, have been included in the R10 figure?
Technically the QAR data is correct, or will be at R14, but this has thrown the monthly figure I give to my board members....
Just wondered if I am missing something here, to ensure I don't fall into the same trap next year.
Thanks
Joanne

*Updated 13th July* R10 in-year qualification achievement rate (QAR) 2022 to ...
Edited
We will be releasing your in-year 2022 to 2023 QAR data in July 2023. We are aiming for the week commencing 10 July for release, though this is subject to change and we will confirm nearer the time. All data will be made available through the View Your Education Data portal. We recognise release of supporting documents is delayed. This is due to development work continuing on the QAR calculations to utilise the Unique Learner Number in matching records across years replacing the use of the Learner Reference Number. We will confirm if this change goes ahead alongside the release of the in-year data.
