Ohhh...... see the funding technical guidance guidance.
25. The funding band maximum, which applies at the start of the programme, will continue to apply for the duration of the programme regardless of any changes in price, provider or employer. If the apprentice changes pathway, framework or standard, then the funding band maximum on the date they change programme will apply.
Martin West Interesting! I missed that. How would they know? I guess they must automatically search through all the ILR data for this ULN/Standard combo, and find the earliest start date to apply the band max?
Hi everyone
Thanks for your replies - Interesting paragraph Martin
I would interpret this to be that if any of these changes take place whilst in learning then they don't apply, rather than if they have withdrawn and returned some time later to restart the programme after these changes have already happened / been updated on provider systems....

213. If the employer or provider changes, we will include any previous earnings for the apprenticeship at a previous employer or provider (based on the ULN) and will only fund up to the band maximum that applied at the start of the programme across all instances of that apprenticeship for that apprentice.
So it is a restart after a withdrawal on the same apprenticeship then it is the funding band that applied at the start and not restart.

Apprentice Restart - funding band increase
Created
We have been approached by a new employer to start someone on the L2 adult care apprenticeship however through our IA we have identified that they have previously been on the same apprenticeship/but withdrew.
In determining the residual price do we use the original £3k or £4k now that the funding band has increased?
