TNP3&4 after a return from a BIL?

Edited

Hi All,

Looked through the guidance, the forum and even contacted the ESFA, but we're still not quite sure which TNP values to use at the end (stage 4) of the following scenario:

1. Learner starts with employer A

2. Learner then transfers to employer B

3. Learner then takes a BIL

4. Learner returns from a BIL

@stage 1: TNP 1 & 2 are used

@stage 2: TNP 3 & 4 are used with the residual values

@stage 4: When the learner returns from a BIL, should we continue to use TNP 3 & 4? Or do we use TNP 1 & 2 with the residual values (as it's a fresh learning aim)?

Thanks,

Ayaz

TNP3/4 as it's the same apprenticeship programme

After a residual price (TNP3 or 4) has been recorded for a programme, any subsequent price records for that programme must also be residual prices. You must not record a new total price (TNP1 or 2) after recording a residual price for the same programme.

This will also help as it speaks specifically to a change of employer then a break - Calculating the TNP value after a change in employer – ESFA help centre (education.gov.uk)
