Apprentice change of working hours after gateway

Edited

Hello,

We've had an enquiry from an employer/apprentice that they wish to drop the apprentices hours to below 30hpw now that the apprentice has passed gateway and entering EPA. Do we need to change any paperwork to be resigned, recalculate OTJ hours, extend end dates etc?

Many thanks

By gum, they'll try anything, won't they?

So, short answer is "no" because the OTJ is only calculated for the Practical Period and, now they're in Gateway, that has finished. I'd be very clear with the employer that the App will still need prep time and support to successfully complete the EPA and that this is as much their responsibility as yours and the learner's.

Also, this from the 22/23 rules that I posted earlier on another query;

P307 Where all parties agree that there is no material impact on the current training plan, the main provider:

P307.1 Must not amend the apprenticeship documentation (apprenticeship agreement, training plan, contract for services) or the ILR

That's in the context of change of circumstance, including hours changes. But yes, they still need support.

Thank you both. Much appreciated.

I think its very easy to complicate things!
