AEB Unemployed Evidence

Created

None

Hi,

Just having a bit of a discussion - For Employed learner's the guidance states that the evidence seen to support Fully funded low wage learners must be within 3 months however the 3 months is not stipulated on evidence required for learners who are unemployed.

Could someone point me in the direction that the evidence seen for unemployed learners to support full funding must be dated within 3 months?

Many Thanks,

For national AEB, all unemployed statuses are Self-Declaration and have been for over a decade, hence there being nothing in the evidence rules.

(Frankly, all devolved should be self-dec as well, but some of them are annoying)

Thanks, the funding rules state that we must hold counter signed evidence of what has been seen. As the learners have self-dec'd they are claiming benefits would that be enough to fully-fund without validating the evidence?

your assessment and evidence of eligibility for funding and a counter signed record of the evidence the learner has provided to support their eligibility for funding

Thanks

yes, just below that it says:

  • if applicable, a learner’s self-declaration as to what state benefit they claim
  • a learner’s self-declaration on their status relating to gaining a job;
