Apprenticeship Restarting

Created

None

Hello,

We have a learner that has restarted the apprenticeship after withdrawing back in 2021. The funding band maximum is £15,000 however we claimed £7,680 last time they were on the standard. I have inputted a total TNP value of £7,320 into the ILR this time, but upon checking the indicitive payment report it is showing a repayment of £360 back to the ESFA.

Do I need to put £15,000 into the TNP1 (including the EPA cost into TNP2) to enable us to claim the remaining £7,680.

Thanks,

Nicola

think you put the whole £15k back in. Even if it was a restart after a full withdrawal, if it's the same provider, same ULN and same Standard, it all seems to work out fine. We'd do that if it was a restart after a break, so it seems logical that it works the same after a non-break restart. We find out a lot like this through trial and error, as it's just not documented in the guidance. Give it a go and see what happens in your next payment reports!
