Missing Grade for Apprenticeship Programme in PLR.

Created

Hi all.

Doe the PLR example below ALWAYS mean that the App has not been achieved as there are the 9's instead of grade...or not necessarily?

No, I think it could be a pass. For any aims where the outcome is simply pass/fail with no specific grade, providers don't have to report a grade. That usually appears as N/A but sometimes appears as other weird things. You'd have to check the Outcome in the LRS. You can't trust the Award Date in the PLR either, as that's included even for fails. I don't think the Outcome is available in the exports we can pull into our MI systems, but I'd love to be corrected on that! I just know our MIS system doesn't have it, and I have to manually check the LRS website.

EDIT - Further to that, I just found a row in our PLR import with grade 9999999999. PLR data in the LRS had grade N/A for the same aim, but no outcome. No way of knowing it was a pass! I know it was a pass because it was one of our students, and we definitely reported the outcome in our ILR. The oldest ones I can find like that were from 2017, so they appear to have resolved it.
