FRM27

Hi,

Please can anyone advise whether where a late withdrawal submitted in the ILR (thus now appearing on FRM27) where funding is paid via the apprenticeship service... is clawback taken at that point (which would show on the clawback line on FM36) ?

Many thanks

Hi,

yes these are clawed back, letters for 21/22 have started to be sent, so I guess another year for the 22/23 versions.

Yes, they only do it after the R14 of the year after the overclaim, so it can be over claim from up to two whole years earlier. I don't know where it appears in reports, but we've just had clawback, from over claim in 21/22.

I've often wondered what they do with levy funds overclaimed, do they put it back in the levy account of the employer? If an employer complains to us that we overclaimed, and it's made a difference to them, I don't think there's anything we can functionally do.

So, if we are being told about concurrent 21/22 English and Maths aim enrolments for Apprentices (via DSAT 006) does this mean that we are able to withdraw one of them back to start date in this 23/24 year, so that the 21/22 overclaim will be returned via this year's FRM 27?

Thanks

Ben Cowdery I think so? Anything that you discover never really happened, just WD back to start, and if that means you overclaimed in a closed year, it'll appear in FRM27 and you eventually get it clawed back once the year in which you reported the WD has closed. I assume it  can go back several years. We've only ever had clawback from the year before, so when 22/23 closed they contacted us about 21/22 overclaim. I don't think we've ever withdrawn someone in one academic year when they actually withdrew two academic years earlier.
