Removal of Co-investment

Hi, with the most recent update of the removal of the co-investment for any new starts after the 1st April 2024, it says in the guidance for Apprentices aged between 16-21 years old, how does this apply if the learner is 22 years of age at the start of their Apprenticeship?  TIA

Anything apprenticeship related is always age at start date, so anyone 21 on 31 Aug, but 22 a start date, is not eligible for the 5% exemption.

Thanks Ruth. So basically if they are aged 22 (without an EHP) at the start of their Apprenticeship Programme with a non-levy paying Employer we still need charge 5%? TIA

Yes.
