The actual duration of the programme does not reach min duration

Created

Hello I have 2 x apprentice errors which are reported as The actual duration of the programme does not reach the required minimum duration for an apprenticeship standard.

They were both transferred to us by another provider as requested by the employer. They started on our ILR from 30/10/2023 with PED 06/11/2025 - they originally started with the other provider 18/11/2021.

They have passed their EPAs in March so the ILR is now reporting the error as above - I may have to non fund the records but as the apprentices originally started 18/11/2021 should I record this date on the ILR?

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

Assuming they're doing the same apprenticeship/aims, did you add the restart indicator when you returned them in your ILR following the transfer? That should prevent the error from triggering.

Hi Ben thanks for your reply.

As these are the first apprentices we have had transferred to us the answer is no I have not ticked the 'restart indicator'.

Should I have also added their original start date from the other provider which was 18/11/2021 on our ILR?

thanks

Angie

If you know the original start dates and it's a transfer as a result of a merger or a takeover, then yes. Otherwise just add the restart indicator and you should be fine.

This guidance should hopefully help you.
