Do we contract just using the training price and then add the TNP2 when known (we would have to get the contracts re-signed) - and hope it doesn't take us over the funding band maximum (employers will be unhappy about having to pay the difference) ?
Pretty much, yes. You'll submit just a TNP1 to begin with, and a price in DAS that matches (so you can begin to receive funding). Then, once you know the EPA cost, you'll add a TNP2 as of the date it was agreed, which will trigger a data lock, prompting you and the employer to revise the price in DAS accordingly.
You can only enter the price into the ILR up to the funding band maximum, meaning that if the EPA cost takes you over this amount, you'll probably have to enter a new, reduced TNP1. You may decide to negotiate with the employer to pay this difference outside of the Levy, or you may decide to actually lower what your charging, it's up to you. Hopefully neither are required and the EPA cost just sees you nestle snugly up against the funding band max.

Craft Carpentry Apprenticeship - TNP 2 Not Available
Edited
We are delivering the new Craft Carpentry Level 3 Apprenticeship as of September 2024. Our chosen EPAO has today confirmed that the EPA information (i.e. price) has been delayed "until September".
Can anyone offer advice on our options in terms of TNP1 and TNP2? We are in the middle of signing up the cohort and need to get the contracts / agreements signed off prior to the start. Our Apprenticeship Training Services Agreement breaks down the total agreed price into Training Price and Assessment (EPA) Price; this gets signed off by us and the employer and entered in the TNP1 and TNP2 fields.

I've had occasions when the EPA Organisation has changed and so we have added a new TNP1 and TNP2 - but this is situation is different as there is no EPA Price available (so close to the start of the 2024/25 intake!).
Thank you
