Correct, the ZPROG will just stay as 1/8 until they return and complete their EPA. As far as how this affects their 'allowed' time in gateway, the short answer is it doesn't, really. Most standards advise a typical gateway duration, but there's nothing to stop this from being longer where circumstances dictate that it must be. The apprentice in question will likely flag on your accountability dashboard, depending on the proximity to their PED, but this can be easily explained if questioned.
Ben James Hi Ben! Similar issue here but the gateway learner (on Senior Leader) cannot sit EPA now due to a recent diagnosis. They will then be going on MAT leave so this will mean they cannot sit EPA until over a year. Would you recommend this approach still of 1/8 with narrative?

Sickness Absence During EPA/Gateway
Created
We have a learner who has just been put into EPA Gateway. We have since heard from his employer, that he has been signed off work with a diagnosed illness, likely to last at least 2 months. Please can someone tell me how this affects his allowed time in Gateway? Usually, for our standards, Gateway is 3 months, but he will need much longer now, due to his illness.
We presume that we cannot put him on a Break in Learning, as his learning has effectively ended already. Any suggestions, please?
