6 week leavers counted towards QAR

Created

None

We have a few 6 week leavers that have been counted towards our QAR. We have disputed a few. However, for the other ones, I am not sure if they are classed as 6 week leavers, because they were put on a BIL when they left their employer. Their last date of learning was less than 42 days from when they started. We then actioned them as leaver 3 months after as they couldn't find a new employer. Their learning end date is the date they went on BIL.

Could we argue with the EFSA that these guys were actually 6 week leavers? Thanks so much.

All the QAR sees is the final data, so it will have no idea these learners were on a break. If their start and actual end dates are less than 42 days apart and the planned duration of their programme aim was more than 168 days (ie every App unless you've picked some up from someone else halfway through), they're a non-start.

I can't even see how this can need to be a conversation? There are no ifs or buts in this. Or is this your contract manager reading too much into the R10 in-year data?

Just to add to this post, does the 42 days include weekends?

Yes, it's always calendar days.
