T Level Summer Placement

Created

None

I know the T Level Guidance allows a student until 31 October after their Planned End Date to complete a placement, but we've had this for the first time this year where a placement completed after 31st August. What are we meant to do with the ILR data? We're always supposed to record dates in the year in which they happened, so I guess leave the Placement and Programme Aims open in 23/24, and report the whole T Level in 24/25 with the Sep end dates in there? Or are we allowed to put a Sep 2024 end date in 23/24 in the case of T Levels if the year is still open when the placement finishes?

I can't find any guidance on this, but if it does exist, can you tell me where to look?

Hi Ruth

I have had this situation also last academic year.  I left the Industry Placement and Framework open and reported the whole programme in the following year.

I don't think I found any guidance, but based it on the fact we are supposed to record dates in the year in which they happened.

Kind regards, Anna

Thanks Anna 😊

That was my thought, I'm always telling colleagues "end dates must always go in the academic year in which they happened". I wondered if there was an exception because of the odd allowance for summer placements.
