FIS Errors - The FAM type and code is not valid - Post 16

Created

Good afternoon,

I have been putting our current data through the FIS, two learners who had the Tuition Fund  recorded in the ILR in the last academic year are coming through with an error stating: The FAM type and code is not valid

This year the learners do not have this code assigned however due to completing late last year and had active attendance in August these are now showing because we have hours recorded in this year (August) they completed only a few hours to finish their study and this is required because of when the actual end date it.

This year the learners are on a full time study programme with activity starting in September, how would I remove this error without removing the code or the hours from last year are these are correct for the 23/24 year but of course also the cross over into August which is when the code is no longer valid?

Thank you

Well its definitely gone for this year I'm afraid. if you remove it for this year your 23-24 data should be fine as R14 went last week?
Details of change:

The following NLM code has been removed for 24/25

code: 21 Learner in receipt of tutoring funded by the 16-19 tuition fund

Due to the closure of the tuition fund at the end of the 23/24 academic year the code has been removed for 24/25

Thank you,

My issue is that their is PLH in the August due to late completions from the 23/24 year when the code was valid and now they are returning this year for a new year of study on a new ILR they are reporting as errors because of the august hours in the ILR from the 23/24 year.

Would you have any suggestions on how to resolve this, would I remove the code from the 23/24 ILR? They completed their 23/24 study in August 24 due to being late completers.

Good morning Kirsty Cavanagh,

Are you on the latest reference data for FIS 2324.8, it should be 33.

I would also validate your ILR through SLD to ensure the error reports match.

Thank you,

 Henry
