Earning Threshold change

Hi all

 

Hope you can help with my query

With the change in living wage to £12.21 following from the Autumn Budget, do you know if the

Earnings Threshold value will change for ASF? If so, do you know when this will be updated?

We are in the process of changing our Learning Agreements with the changes to the London Living wage and would like to ensure that we have update the ASF rate also to meet Audit requirements.

Since the Earnings Threshold is not determined using the the living wage, it shouldn't make a difference. I think it used to be linked to minimum or living wage, but they changed it this year to a neat round number and bumped it up quite a lot (I guess maybe so they didn't have to make mid-year changes in future).

Yes, for National ASF the main reason for moving to an Earnings Threshold was so they didn't have to tweak it in line with NMW. As GLA haven't quite done that, they are still increasing in line with London Living Wage every October...
