"Re-start" on new version of Standard

Hi

We have a learner who had been doing a Level 2 Brick apprenticeship under it's old version, 1,1 (at £9k).

He had to be withdrawn with 6 months of his programme left due to losing his employment.  This was back in March 24.

Having found a new employer he now wants to try and complete his apprenticeship.  However the Level 2 Brick is now at version 1.2 with a higher funding value.

I don't believe we can enter him as a restart under v1.1 but provided we factor in the Prior Learning and a reasonable reduction for funding, would we be able to "re-start" him under v1.2 or would we have to treat him as a "New" start with a reduction for prior learning and funding - which would also mean he would have to do 12 months (+EPA) rather than the 6 he had left.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I have a feeling it might just cap you at £9k anyway, even if you're not recording the original start date. If it's the same LARS code and ULN, the systems know it's the same thing, and you still have to code it as restart if it's the same LARS code, regardless of version. It happens when we take on an apprentice form another provider, which is similar.
