I'd say yes, although not sure what that will do to your payments as the "achievement" payment will have been paid already. Perhaps ask the apprenticeship service?
We only record fails when we know the learner is not going to resit and the fail is the final result so I've not experienced this scenario.
Becky O'Brien Same, we would never record the fail if we though the Apprentice was going to resit. If the original EPA and resit are in different academic years, it also messes with the hybrid end year.
A thing to watch out for with that though, is if they originally sit the EPA in June/July, plan to resit, then only after R14 closes do they decide not to resit after all. If that happens, you have to enter the Achievement date back in June/July, and you never get the completion element, as it was due in a closed year. I remind our apprenticeship managers in late September every year to make sure all planned resits are definitely going to go ahead, and to fail any if they are not resitting after all.

Updating ILR after EPA resit
Edited
Hi,
When updating the ILR following a resit after EPA failure, should we be updating the achievement date (to the date they sat and passed from the date they sat and failed) as well as the outcome from not achieved to achieved?
Thanks,
Claire
