Break in Learning or Withdrawal

Created

We have a learner enrolled in Functional Skills maths and English and also doing Digital IT skills. They have gone on a Break in Learning in December and will not be returning until September, which is the next academic year. Is the correct procedure to change the record to a withdrawal or is it correct to keep them on a Break until they return?

Which funding stream? Although I think the answer is always just leave them on the break anyway.

Hi Ruth, 38 - Adult Skills Fund. We're part of a MCA/GLA not that I think that makes a difference

Just leave it as BIL until they return or fully quit:

If it stays as BIL for a really long time, it can end up being treated as a withdrawal in your QAR, but I can't remember the exact details on that one, and I'm pretty sure Dec-Sep wouldn't do that.

That's what I thought, thanks Ruth :)
