Training plan for Functional skills amendments (new rule)

Morning all,

I'm after others opinions following the new funding rule for apprenticeships functional skills and evidencing the employer discussion on not needing functional skills.

Do we still need to get a training plan re-issued and signed or will an employer and apprentice email added to the folder/file suffice?

Any thoughts would be gratefully received.

We've had a lot of discussion around this and did think about a signed declaration to attach to the training plan, so other's thoughts on this would be great.

We were going to save the email agreement down for those who decide to continue, as technically no changes to the training plan. For those who decide to drop off, then we would issue an updated version.

I'd also like to hear what others are planning for this

We have emailed all employers and apprentices who are affected. For those who want to cease their FS, we will issue an 'Amendment to Training Plan / Apprenticeship Agreement' document which will be signed by the apprentice, employer and us as the provider.

Interested to know what others are doing.....😊
