Hi Claire
We are having the same issue, we have an overall planned end date, and a planed learning end date, if we put the overall PED into the ZPROG, PICS overrides it to the aim planed learning end date, we have raised this in the past, but was told this was correct by PICS. My issue is if they leave with no achievement then the leaver falls into the learning planned end date as oppose to the overall planned end date.
Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.
As per https://guidance.submit-learner-data.service.gov.uk/24-25/ilr/entity/LearningDelivery/field/LearnPlanEndDate, the ZPROG aim planned end date should "not include the end point assessment period".
I don't know about Aptem but PICS also has a separate start/planned/actual end dates for the learning 'episode' that are not used for the ILR but can be used to identify overall periods of learning, i.e. including EPA. There are ways of setting up qualification plans in PICS to default the episode PED differently to the ZPROG. The plans can also determine the default durations and PED for each aim within the episode.

Programme aims and planned end date
Created
We’ve always configured our programmes in Aptem using the Programme Requirements section so that both the programme aim (ZPROG) and the qualification aim have the same planned end date.
However, we’ve recently noticed that the ILR template seems to support setting different durations for the two learning aims. This raises a question for us:
Can we use different planned end dates for the programme aim and the qualification aim for example, setting the programme aim to include the End-Point Assessment (EPA) period, while keeping the qualification aim aligned with the expected completion of on-programme learning?
Or should both aims always have the same planned end date?
Thanks,
Claire
