PDSAT 25A-215 - R11

Created

None

Anyone else having issues with PDSATS - 25A-215? I have had 0 records all year but all of a sudden I have26+ apprentices.

These are the ones that started prior to the ESFA Funding Calculator being created; I am confident that ours are only out by one hour due to rounding issues and as they ceased appearing on DSATs this academic year, assumed they were no longer being classed as an issue (they do still appear on the Post 16 Monitoring Reports).

Is this just a glitch due to the annotations related upgrade that was carried out by PDSATs?

Thank You

I would cross check the new rows with what's on your FRM37 report. They essentially do the same thing, but for a long time, the FRM report had the new calculations (so lots of rows), but the PDSAT report had the old calculation (usually no rows). Looks like they've finally aligned them. I've been annotating my FRM37 report with:

These met the old ESFA minimum OTJ calculation. ESFA changed their minimum OTJ calculation advice but applied it retrospectively for this report. It has been confirmed by ESFA that we can continue to use the old calculation from the funding rules, even with newer enrolments. The discrepancy is just due to changes in rounding. We are now using the newer calculation for new apprentices, which is why the most recent start on this report is May 2024, so any new rows on this report, with a start after 22/05/2024, will need investigating.

We fix anything with a start date (or original start date) after 22/05/2024, and ignore the rest. I did do one massive re-check of all the pre-May 2024 starts before I started ignoring them though.

Oh joy!! Yes - that would make sense - I'll double check them but the number of records broadly tallies (from memory) with the FRM reports.

I (wrongly) assumed they were purposely excluded (they had not appeared so far this year) as there was a recognition that the calculator was made available after sign-ups had started - silly me! 😂

I did actually really like having the two reports mismatch. If it wasn't in the PDSAT, I didn't worry about it! I'm looking forward to when all the starts after 22/05/2024 are done, but that will be years yet, so I will keep adding my notes.

I'm glad you have already identified this Rachel because I had a slight panic this morning when noticing this on our new PDSAT run.

Same as you though suddenly we have had 39 new learners appear but we have had visibility on them as a FRM37 with the rounding issue & thanks for the wording Ruth I'll copy that that lol
