What DfE changes is this related to? The word "standalone" seems to just be to distinguish English and maths that isn't required for gateway (Clarification paragraph 41.2.1), but it is still funded.
You can't claim Apps and 16-18 funding at the same time, so you're either coding the FS as 36 (which has to be flagged as a component aim), or not getting funded. Paragraph 51 explains that you should still use Apps funding for adults too. So no ILR change that I can think of.

Functional Skills – Recording in ILR Now That They’re Standalone
Created
Hi all,
Now that Functional Skills are considered standalone qualifications, are we expected to record them differently in the ILR?
I’ve been looking for updated guidance but haven’t come across anything specific. At present, we are still recording Functional Skills aims as part of the apprenticeship programme, attached to the parent aim.
Has anyone seen clarification on this, or adjusted how they are inputting FS aims in line with the new rules?
Thanks in advance!
