You have to add TNP1 and 2 together before you multiply by 0.8. The 80% of both together is the on programme payments, which get split equally by month, and that doesn't always follow the split of TNP1/TNP2.
(TNP1 + TNP) * 0.8 = £4,800 (total on programme payment)
£4,800/24 months = £200 (that should match the payments you've been getting in the Apps Monthly Payment report)
£200 x 5 months = £1000 (it's only 5 months because you only count months that got to at least the end day of the month)
£6,000 - £1,000 = £5,000 remaining to be paid by employer 2, split into:
TNP3: £4,000
TNP4: £1,000 (always leave the assessment price the same where possible)
You did come out with the right numbers anyway, but it might not always work like that.

Change of employer - calculation
Created
Hi all,
Reviewing some of our Apprenticeship processes at the moment & hoping someone can confirm this one:
If we have a learner with this TNP/ILR dates before changing employer. Is my calculation for funding received/new employer correct?
Start Date: 11/09/2024
Planned End Date: 11/09/2026
Change of employer date: 02/02/2025
TNP1: £5000
TNP2: £1000
TNP1 * 0.8 = £4000
£4000/24 months = £166.66667
£166.66667*6 months = £1000
New price for employer 2 is:
TNP3: £4000
TNP4: £1000
