Does anyone use Campus ID? It says it's for merged colleges, and we merged in August. The College we merged with went through a previous merger themselves a few years ago, and they were told they had to use Campus ID after that. We asked DfE this time, and they seemed to just say we could use it if we want to. That doesn't make sense because we can only use codes they give us, as they have to put them in the "Campus Identifier Table" which I assume is something that DfE hold centrally for ILR validation. Is it just not being used any more or did we just ask someone who doesn't know about it? We don't want it, we can identify campus from our provider specified fields, so I'm not planning to add it unless I find out it'll cause issues if we don't.
